A United States Army veteran, Jim McAuliffe entered law enforcement in 1980 as a Probation and Parole officer in Florida. From 1985 to 1994, he was an officer with the Sanford Police Department, where his assignments included Homicide Investigation, Crimes Against Persons Investigator, Substance Abuse Specialist and Training Officer. He is certified by FDLE to instruct on the following topics: legal subjects, firearms training, law enforcement driving, and diversity training in addition to this topic.
Mr. McAuliffe is currently an instructor at the law enforcement, corrections and the probation/parole academies in Orlando, Fla. He is a faculty member at Seminole Community College where he is responsible for the overall management of the Criminal Justice Academic program and a board member of The Grove, a treatment facility for the mentally disturbed. He also teaches the Advanced and Specialized Training Program for Police and Corrections personnel at the college. He is a published author and a member of numerous professional and fraternal organizations. |
