Tony Grano is a 20-year martial arts expert and one of the founders of Controlled F.O.R.C.E. law enforcement training. Tony is the Executive Director of Controlled F.O.R.C.E. and travels the nation training police officers in weapon retention. Controlled F.O.R.C.E. instructors teach the MACH (Mechanical Advantage Control Holds) system of weapon retention, which stresses simplicity and ease of use. Tony believes that instructors are only as good as the weakest student they train, and a good instructor should strive to improve a weak student’s capabilities because the MACH system is a lifesaving skill.
