Only California and North Carolina officers must fill out an application. |
The college requires the application for their records. Since this is a government funded program, they are subject to audits. By having students complete an application they are able to ensure that students aren’t being duplicated in order to increase the amount of funding for the program. For the college to receive their funding, which, in turn funds the program, they have to provide documentation on the officers enrolled in the courses. You only have to complete the application once to be eligible for the program and then you can to take as many courses as you desire. |
No. You can take as many courses as you like; however, when you order a course/s you have 90 days in which to complete it/them. The time limit is imposed because we don’t receive reimbursement from the college until you complete your course. Also, the funding that supports the program is up for renewal every year so we cannot guarantee how long we will be able to offer the courses at no charge. |
There is NO catch. We are able to provide this training FREE because we are reimbursed by our college partners who receive government funds to further adult education. The college pays us and you get it for free, no catch. |
Not in the traditional sense. The application only counts California and North Carolina officers in the adult education/continuing education program, not as a traditional college student. You have no obligation to the college. |
You can receive college credit for some of our courses. We have 17 college credits available through another one of our partner colleges. Courses that qualify for credit are broken into blocks and all classes in the block must be completed to receive the credit. The college credit is through North Idaho College and is nationally transferable. Click Here for More Information
To receive college credit you must be a registered user. You must complete the course and meet the minimum time requirements, answer all of the Interaction Questions correctly, and receive a 100% score on all Section Review’s and Final Exam portions of the course. |
Yes. In order to receive courses for free, ALL California and North Carolina officers must complete the application in its entirety. Again, this is required by the college to ensure the program is running according to government funding guidelines. The application goes directly to the college for their record keeping purposes. Keeping your private information secure is a responsibility we take very seriously. |
That’s ok. Fill out the rest of the application, fax it to us, and then call us with the missing information and we’ll fill in the blanks. |
The free program, due to the funding source, is only available for sworn law enforcement, corrections, or military working in a law enforcement capacity. We are required by the college to verify that all officers receiving the courses for free are SWORN personnel. |
No, the CD is yours to keep as a reference or you can pass along the course to another officer; however, in order for them to receive their certificate they must fill out the college application and pay a $6.00 processing fee. |
You can use CDs that you, or your department may already have, but in order to receive your certificate you must fill out and fax us your college application. If the package or cds are expired, you may have to pay a processing fee. Download the application off our website, send it in, and then call us to receive unlock codes for the course. If you use the unlock code assigned to another officer you will not receive credit since the student record will show the course as belonging to someone else. |

This can occur on an XP machine due to the Windows XP default theme. In order to view the course the way it was designed, the Windows Classic theme needs to be applied.
- Select Start, My Computer, Control Panel, Appearance and Themes, and Display
- From the Display Properties window, select the Theme tab, and from the Theme drop-down box select Windows Classic
- Select the Apply button, and OK
Or, change the screen resolution to 1024 x 768. A higher screen resolution reduces the size of items on your screen and increases the size of your desktop. The monitor and display adapter determine whether you can change your screen resolution. |
Some Windows 98 machines have an ODBC problem with Authorware.
- Restart the course but DO NOT restart your computer
- Please do the Windows Updates from Number #1 in this list
