Florida - Florida Department of Law Enforcement
The
Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission does
not give oversight to in-service training. The Commission
does, however, require additional training, 40 hours
of mandatory retraining every four years. Of the 40
hours the three courses developed by FDLE (Human Diversity,
Domestic Violence and Juvenile Sex Offenders and their
Victims) are required, the remaining mandatory retraining
hours are at the discretion of the local agency and
only require the approval of the local agency administrator
or appointing authority.
