The Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers’ Education and Training Commission mandates a minimum of 12 hours of training each year that is developed by the Commission. Although no vendor training can replace this 12 hour minimum, the 1171 individual police departments in the state are encouraged to seek additional training above this minimum from any source available.
